ALOR SETAR - Kedah Barisan Nasional (BN) considers former DAP publicity secretary Tony Pua a member of an extremist group that does no good to his own party and its allies.

Kedah BN chairman Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid said such individuals were not only present in Pakatan Harapan (PH) but also in other parties.

"There are groups that are called extremist groups, and they are like this. "If Tony Pua is a member of the so-called extremist group, whatever is done, everything will be wrong. There are such people in any organisation. When one is an extremist, everyone else is wrong.

"Tony Pua or anyone else with a similar attitude as him, they just can't change it; they think they are the only ones that are right and the best out of all, while others are bad or not as good.

"This is the mentality of an extremist; I think even Anthony Loke rejects people like him and cannot stay on the same team," he said today.

His comments followed recent reports of Tony Pua suddenly' calling BN, which is now with Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the Unity Government, a 'corrupt coalition’.

The former Petaling Jaya MP also called Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), another Malay nationalist party, a corrupt coalition.

Mahdzir, who is also Kedah Umno chairman, said differences in opinions were normal after BN and PH formed the Unity Government, but this is unacceptable.
