PUTRAJAYA - The Prime Minister is confident that the coalition of Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) will seize two opposition states in the state elections soon, in addition to remaining in power in three states.

However, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim refused to reveal the two states.

"Now we seem to be leaning towards the two states again. I will announce that," he said when met by reporters after launching ‘Adab Perbezaan Pendapat Dalam Islam’ book at the Islamic Complex here on Tuesday.

He said that based on the research and information obtained, three states namely Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Penang would remain to be ruled by the coalition.

"InsyaAllah, with the current developments and studies conducted... being in the government, I have a little additional information. I see that the three states could be defended,” he said.

The 15th state polls would see three more states involved which were Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah.

The three states were under the administration of Perikatan Nasional (PN).

Meanwhile, Anwar said that the distribution of seats between PH and BN had been completed, but the state leaders were given the opportunity to raise their opinions.
