BANGI - Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari criticises the actions of certain parties attempting to incriminate the Federal Government ahead of elections in six states on Aug 12.

Amirudin said the parties involved believed the Putrajaya administration would be challenged if they won the state elections.

“After GE15 (15th general election) we all know the situation that happened and there was a call (from) the Yang di-Pertuan Agong for us to form a cohesive and stable government so that the country could be restored.

“However, some refused it and until tonight there were still attempts to topple the unity government that guaranteed stability in the country,” he said.

He said this in a speech during the launch of the Madani Unity machinery for Selangor tonight at Laman Niaga Bandar Baru Bangi, here on Friday.

Amirudin said the parties involved were currently campaigning for the state polls at the six states by starting a new episode of betrayal and instability in the country.

“These individuals could not look at a peaceful and stable situation (because) the attacks made were not minor,” he said.

He said it was why the parties involved felt how important it was for them to contest in the six states including Selangor.

Amirudin stated Pakatan Harapan (PH) and BN were prepared to remain in administration in the state after the state elections.

“In this assembly, we want to inform that Perikatan Nasional (PN) that is still attempting to destroy stability in the country, wait for Aug 12, the unity government will remain,” he added.

He said all PH machineries were in the best condition as stated by Selangor Umno chairman Datuk Megat Zulkarnain Omardin.

“If his (Megat Zulkarnain) speech would guarantee all machinery and BN supporters to support PH, Insya-Allah I have given the orders to prepare for cooperation with BN for us to defend the wall and strongholds of the unity government (in Selangor),” Amirudin explained.

He said the seat negotiations involving PH and BN were done at a state level and amongst both party presidents.
