SHAH ALAM - Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah today decreed that the issue involving caretaker Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor was yet to be resolved.

Selangor Royal Office, through a statement, said that Sultan Sharafuddin granted audiences to Selangor Pas commissioner Datuk Ahmad Yunus Hairi and Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan at Istana Bukit Kayangan today.

"In separate audiences, they discussed Sanusi’s statement in a recent ceramah in Selangor which was deemed insulting to the Selangor royal institution.

"His Majesty has decreed that this matter is still unresolved," the statement read.

Two days ago, Sanusi apologised to the Selangor ruler over his statement regarding the appointment of the Selangor menteri besar.

Sanusi said he had sent an explanation letter (warkah) to the Selangor Sultan on what he truly meant in his speech.

In a Facebook post, he claimed that his speech had been manipulated by opposing political parties.

Police had earlier confirmed opening an investigation paper on Sanusi regarding a statement under the Sedition Act 1948 and the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
