SEREMBAN - Three PKR former assemblymen in Negeri Sembilan were dropped as candidates in the upcoming state poll on Aug 12.

They are Sri Tanjung incumbent Datuk M Ravi, Ampangan incumbent Datuk Dr Mohamad Rafie Ab Malek and Chuah incumbent Datuk Michael Yek Diew Ching.

The new faces replacing them are Dr Rajasekaran, Tengku Zamrah Tengku Sulaiman and Yew Boon Lye.

Additionally, a female candidate, Nur Zunita Begum will replace Mohamad Nazaruddin Sabtu for Pilah's seat due to health complications.

Negeri Sembilan PKR chairman Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun will defend the Sikamat state assembly and Labu incumbent, Ismail Ahmad will continue as the Rural Development exco.

The three former assemblymen had been expected to be dropped, as they had frequently criticised Aminuddin's leadership in the party and the state government.

They were also accused of being involved in a media statement expressing a loss of confidence in Aminuddin as state leaders' council chairman.

When contacted, Yek Diew Ching confirmed that his displacement was related to his past criticism.

He accepted the party's decision, stating that he would reprimand if needed for a good reason but will be not done publicly.
