Selangor PKR Indian youth leaders unhappy over Najwan Hilmi's candidacy

We had hoped that the party would have taken serious note of the racial slurs and swiftly taken stern action against him.
However, the announcement of Najwan's candidacy has put the party in a negative light, portraying it as incapable of defending the minority and upholding justice and fairness.
This decision stands in stark contrast to the Prime Minister's vision of a unified Malaysia under his ideology of Malaysia Madani.
In response to the recent viral screencap containing Najwan Halimi's racially insensitive statement, we firmly believe that such behaviour should not be tolerated and must be addressed by the party's Disciplinary Board with immediate effect.
PKR's commitment to justice and fairness demands a strong stand against any form of racial prejudice and discrimination.
We hoped the party would have taken note of the issue and have taken stern action on him.
We urgently call on the party leadership to reconsider the decision to endorse Najwan Halimi as the candidate for Kota Anggerik state assembly seat.
It is crucial for PKR to take a principled and decisive stance against any form of racism within its ranks and to prioritize the interests and rights of all Malaysians, particularly the minority communities.
We remain unwavering in our commitment to a Malaysia that embraces diversity, where every citizen is valued and treated fairly, irrespective of their ethnicity.
As Indian Youth Leaders of Selangor PKR, we demand accountability and transparency in addressing this matter and reiterate our dedication to the vision of a united and inclusive Malaysia.
