Penang state poll: Straight fight between PH, PN in Bukit Tengah

SEBERANG PRAI - It was a bright atmosphere to start the journey of the N17 Bukit Tengah state seat for the upcoming Penang state poll that will be held on Aug 12.
Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate Gooi Hsiao Leung would contest against Baljit Singh Jigiri Singh from Perikatan Nasional (PN), Election Election Commission (EC) returning officer Rosilah Abd Rashid announced
PH and PN supporters cheered for their respective candidates with songs to lift the candidates’ spirits.
The supporters gathered at the Dewan Al-Azim, Kolej Vokasional Seberang Perai nomination centre as early as 7.30am, and police officers tightly monitored it for crowd control.
The candidates from all political parties were given an hour to submit their nomination forms.
