BALIK PULAU – Barisan Nasional’s Telok Bahang candidate, Ahmad Zaki Shah Haedan has vowed to focus on boosting the tourism industry and advancing education if elected to represent the state seat.

Speaking with Sinar Daily during a walkabout at Sungai Rusa, here, Zaki spoke on the potential of various tourist attractions in Telok Bahang, including Taman Negara Penang and Escape Park.

"Besides tourism industry, we also have a lot of delicious local food," said the lawyer.

He who hails from the area believes harnessing this potential will not only boost the local economy but also benefit the community.

Zaki received his primary education here and want to commit to enhancing educational opportunities for the students in Telok Bahang, empowering them to improve their lives through education.

"With proper education, they can change and improve their lives," Zaki added.

Zaki is set to face his opponent from Perikatan Nasional (PN), Colonel (R) Muhamad Kasim, in the upcoming Penang state election scheduled for August 12.
