Student molested on her way to school
KUALA LANGAT - A student on her way to school was reported to be molested at Jalan Haji Masjoyo, Jenjarom here on Wednesday
Kuala Langat district police chief Superintendent Ahmad Ridhwan Mohd Nor said the victim aged 14 was riding on a motorcycle towards her school and was followed by an unknown man.
“The suspect motorcycle approached from behind and molested the victim’s private parts before fleeing the scene.
“The location of the incident and the victim’s school was roughly five kilometres apart,” he said in a statement on Friday.
He added following the incident a police report was lodged by the victim’s 42-year-old father at 11.15am.
Ridhwan said the police opened an investigation paper to look into the victim’s claim.
“The case was investigated under Section 14 (a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 that carried a maximum prison sentence of 10 years and could be punished with lashes if found guilty,” he said.
