PETALING JAYA – Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate in Seri Setia is confident he will win big in the area as it is the party's strong seat.

Dr Fahmi Ngah said the Seri Setia seat had been held by PH since 2008 and is their stronghold.

"From my interactions with the locals it seems people are more accepting of me (than other candidates).

"For me, I think the momentum is a clear indication and how strong we are in the area," he told reporters during the press conference after the Ceramah Kita Selangor 'Arus Merah Kuning' at Desa Mentari Petaling Jaya, last night.

He also commented on Perikatan Nasional's (PN) manifesto as it would be pretty challenging to implement in the opposition government against a different federal government.

"I think if you want to implement it, you need prior experience dealing the machinery with the state government, particularly the local council and state council," he said.

Meanwhile, Fahmi also added on the Smart Selangor applications he had played a part in developing to make it easier for Selangorians.

"We have developed several applications for the people of Selangor such as Smart Parking App which has 2.2 million users.

"We also have Sits application for the arrival of Smart Selangor bus as well with 200,000 to 300,000 users.

"If I was able to launch such applications, then if a chance is given to me as an assemblyman, I can improve the delivery system primarily for aid applications that can be done via online through application.

"This would make life easier for people in Selangor as they don't have to queue and fill up many forms," he added.

Commenting further, he also said that he aimed to create something new in the government delivery system.

"For example, here at (Desa) Mentari there's too much trash; if there's a new way just to take a picture and report (to the local council), it would be easier.

"Besides, the most important thing is how we want to have new incentives and what's the fastest way to inform people here that there are new incentives and how to quickly apply to it as well," he said.

Meanwhile, he said as an assemblyman, it's not just about giving aid or taking complaints but also seeing something that calls for legislation.

"This is the biggest challenge and not many politicians understand this role and might take the advantage," he expressed.
