Vote PN to safeguard Umno, Hamzah urges

He said this support could potentially alter Umno's course and help it regain the trust and backing of the people.
Addressing Umno members at Majlis Sembang Santi, here Hamzah spoke on the importance of having a capable leader.
“When we go to the market to buy fish, for instance the four-finger threadfin fish (ikan senangin), we will first look at the head and if it is good, we will buy it.
"If the head is good, the tail will also be good," he said, drawing an analogy where the head's quality determines the overall worth of the body.
"Today's president is rotten. We don't want all Umno members to be rotten," he added.
Hamzah then urged party members who disagreed with Umno President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to cast their support for PN.
He encouraged them not to ignore their dissatisfaction but to send a message by voting for PN, expressing that change is essential for the country's progress.
"I want the people of Umno to wake up and let us be with (PN). It's fine if you don't want to leave the party but let's fight this by voting for PN," he added.
The PN Secretary-General also touched on the importance of responsible and principled leadership in shaping the nation's future, irrespective of the ruling party. He expressed confidence in the people's desire for positive changes and called for unity in moving the country forward.
He went on to say that the PN wants to see the country's leaders take responsibility and act with integrity in choosing the country's future, regardless of which party is in power.
