Lorry crashes into two vehicles, due to sudden turn by car at intersection

SERDANG – A move by a car driver to make a sudden exit at an intersection caused a lorry to skid before crashing into two other vehicles in an incident at Jalan Lebuh Puteri, Bandar Puteri here on Tuesday.

Serdang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner A A Anbalagan said, his team received a report related to the incident at about 11.40am.

"The initial investigation found that the incident happened at the traffic light intersection on Jalan Lebuh Puteri when an Inokom model lorry was driven by a man from the direction of Lebuh Puteri (IOI Galeri) towards KPMC Puchong.

"The lorry hit a Honda City car which is believed to have made a sudden turn at the intersection causing it to slide to the left side of the road before hitting two others parked nearby," he said in a statement on Wednesday.

He said, however, the incident did not cause injuries to the victims involved.

"The drivers of the lorry and the Honda City were not injured in the incident.

"The investigation was conducted under Rule 17 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959 (Rule 17 LN 166/59) for further action," he said.
