Police ready to assist MACC in corruption case involving Muhyiddin's son-in-law

KUALA LUMPUR - The police is ready to assist the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission concerning the Interpol Red Notice application against former premier Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's son-in-law.

Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said: "Regarding the cooperation with the MACC, we will help any agency who requires some assistance; it is not a problem."

Previously, it was reported that the MACC would apply for an Interpol Red Notice against Muhyiddin's son-in-law and another individual believed to be on the run in a graft case concerning irregularities in the registration, recruitment and biometric storage of foreign workers for a ministry.

MACC Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said the application would be made with the help of the police soon.

The graft busters are seeking Muhammad Adlan Berhan, 48, with a last known address at Lot 65, Sunway Kiara Hills, Jalan 32/70A Desa Sri Hartamas, and lawyer Mansoor Saat, 69, with a last known address at 5 Jalan SS19/1C Subang Jaya, Selangor.

However, Muhammad Adlan, in a statement through his lawyer Datuk Baljit Singh Sidhu, denied that he evaded the authorities and said he would return soon to help with the investigation.
