Viral video of man attacked with an axe
KOTA KINABALU - A video has been viralled since last night showing a man allegedly being attacked with an axe in an incident in front of the Menara Kinabalu, here.
In the 80-second video, a man repeatedly strikes the legs of another man who is inside a vehicle.
The male victim, seated in the driver's seat, is unable to escape due to the attacks, while a woman is seated in the front passenger seat.
The attacker then proceeds to shatter the front and rear passenger windows of the vehicle while attempting to open the door, presumably to pull the woman out.
Not stopping there, he also shatters the front windshield but the vehicle manages to speed away from the scene before further harm is done.
Meanwhile, Kota Kinabalu District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zaidi Abdullah, confirmed receiving a report regarding the incident.
"Yes, (there's a report), it's still under investigation. A media statement will be shared soon," he said when contacted by Sinar Harian today.
