Eddin Shazlee, Danni, Rafiei among PN Negeri Sembilan’s Menteri Besar candidates?

SEREMBAN - Despite the lack of any names announced, Negeri Sembilan Perikatan Nasional (PN) states the party had Menteri Besar candidates with the calibre to lead the state.

Its chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu said PN’s strategy in the state was different as it wanted to display a team instead of focusing on one or two names.

He said all candidates nominated in Negeri Sembilan had their own strengths, but all were eligible to be made into Menteri Besar.

“We don’t have a singular poster boy. Our strategy is different in Negeri Sembilan. We displayed a team, but if we look at our candidate list, we find some are experienced.

“We have youth candidates with education, professional background able to shoulder the Menteri Besar responsibilities when we establish a government,” he said.

Faizal when met by Awani gave several names such as Klawang state seat candidate Danni Rais, Sungai Lui state seat candidate Mohd Nordin Hassim and Juasseh state seat candidate Datuk Eddin Shazlee Shith who could fill the post.

He also mentioned the Pilah state seat candidate Rafiei Mustapha, Linggi state seat candidate Datuk Zamri Md Said, Kota state seat candidate Ahmad Shukri Abdulshukor and Gemas state seat candidate Ridzuan Ahmad.

Faizal saied he only stated a few names, but according to his calculations, all PN candidates in the state were eligible to hold the post.

He added the candidates who were shortlisted would be presented to the Negeri Sembilan Yang di-Pertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir if PN formed the state government.

“A team was presented, and we are confident in their capabilities.

“When we succeed after passing the number of seats needed to establish a government, we will present the names to the Negeri Sembilan Yang di-Pertuan Besar,” he said.

The questions regarding the Menteri Besar candidates from Negeri Sembilan PN went unanswered after the top leadership of the party continued to withhold the official announcement of their sole candidate.

Pakatan Harapan (PH)-BN had a different situation as Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun was announced as the Menteri Besar candidate. - AWANI
