Three states up north still remain at the top with high turnouts among the six states with Terengganu charting at 50 per cent, Kedah 49 per cent, followed by Penang 46 per cent.
Selangor and Negeri Sembilan voter turnouts record a positive rise to 44 per cent and 42 per cent, respectively but the numbers is still concerning as it is still less than half of the eligible voters in the areas.
Kelantan remains at the bottom of the list with the lowest voter turnout, recording only a 40 pe rcent turnout as of 1 pm.
Meanwhile, the Kuala Terengganu by-election has seen a 47 percent voter turnout rate so far.
