State polls: Caretaker Kelantan MB defends Pasir Pekan, secures 12,811 majority votes

KOTA BHARU - The Kelantan Pas Commissioner, Datuk Ahmad Yakob, retained the Pasir Pekan state seat with a majority of 12,811 votes in the state polls.

Ahmad, who garnered 18,783 votes, defeated the Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate, Mohamad Zamakh Sari Ibrahim, who received 5,972 votes.

The Caretaker Kelantan Menteri Besar has retained his seat since 1995.

Meanwhile, Pas managed to also retain the Wakaf Bharu state seat through its incumbent, Mohd Rusli Abdullah.

Mohd Rusli defeated the Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate, Abdul Manan MD Said, with a majority of 8,127 votes.
