KUALA LUMPUR - Pakatan Harapan (PH) will conduct a thorough post-mortem to review the results of the recent state elections.

PKR information chief Fahmi Fadzil said they respected the decisions made by the people and will seriously examine the voting patterns in this election.

He said the 3-3 outcome, which maintained the state's status quo, was also anticipated based on findings and surveys conducted by several parties.

"If we analyse the findings from various survey firms, the results are somewhat within expectations.

"I see a lot of additional data and we will take everything into consideration.

"However, we need to understand what happened in terms of the voter turnout. I believe we will conduct a post-mortem to gain a deeper understanding," he said at the World Trade Centre, here, today.

Fahmi added that the focus moving forward was to examine the workings of the federal government, especially in addressing and solving the people's issues.

He also expressed sadness over PH's narrow defeat in the Sungai state seat where PH candidate Zawawi Mughni was defeated by Perikatan Nasional candidate, Wan Dzahanurin Ahmad, who won with a majority of 167.
