BERLIN - Dinamo Zagreb fans have been barred from travelling with their team to European away games for at least the remainder of the season in the wake of the death of a Greek fan, reported dpa news agency quoting the ruling body UEFA late Saturday.

Dinamo fans had rioted in Athens before a Champions League qualifier at AEK close to two weeks ago, and one Greek fan was stabbed to his death.

The first-leg match was postponed as a result of the death and held on Saturday night, ending 2-2 which saw AEK advance into the play-offs 4-3 on aggregate after 2-1 win in Zagreb earlier in the week.

Dinamo will now continue in qualifying for the Europa League.

UEFA also said that fans from Zagreb opponents can follow their team for games in Croatia. - BERNAMA-dpa
