UiTM awards millionth scroll, enters Malaysia Book of Records

SHAH ALAM - Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) has awarded its millionth scroll, making it the first university in Malaysia to achieve this milestone.
The scroll was awarded to Nur Liyana Athirah Izani, a graduate of the Faculty of Applied Science.
The ceremony was held at the UiTM Shah Alam campus and was witnessed by UiTM Vice-Chancellor, Professor Datuk Dr Roziah Mohd Janor.
Roziah said that she was proud to be able to celebrate the awarding of the millionth scroll at this convocation.
"This makes the total number of scrolls issued by UiTM until the end of the convocation ceremony 1,003,241 scrolls.
"It's a figure we can be proud of because it reflects UiTM's mission to champion the development of professional Bumiputera through cutting-edge curriculum and impactful research," she said.
The 97th UiTM Convocation Ceremony has been going on since August 5 and is scheduled to end on September 15.
The ceremony is being held in conjunction with UiTM's 75th anniversary.
Over 30,000 graduates are expected to receive their scrolls during the ceremony.
