SHAH ALAM - Recently a video of a man known by the name 'Abang Tesla' went viral as he shared a video expressing appreciation for his first wife after she gave him permission to marry for the second time.

The video has sparked various reactions, with many sympathizing with the woman who is being described as strong for accepting polygamy.

Singer Shila Amzah is among those who have expressed their views on the matter through her Twitter account.

The 33-year-old singer believes that any man who truly loves his wife would never consider taking a second wife, let alone marrying another woman.

"If you genuinely love your first wife, you wouldn't even think about marrying a second wife.

"Even if you have permission from the first wife.

"Wow, can't believe what I saw on TikTok today (Sunday).

"Just think logically, don't make a long and elaborate show of appreciation to demonstrate how much you value your first wife when you've decided to take another wife," she wrote.

Earlier, the man who often shares about his electric car had announced his second marriage through a video.

In the video, he was seen performing the Fajr prayer with his first wife three hours before marrying his second wife, which garnered various reactions.

Some also felt that Shila, whose full name is Nurshahila Amir Amzah, was affected by the situation due to her mother's experience, as her father, ND Lala, had chosen to marry for the second time which eventually led to the collapse of their 34-year marriage.

However, there were critics who accused singer Shila of belittling religion when discussing polygamy.

Not one to stay silent, the wife of social media influencer Ubai had her own response.

"No one wants to belittle religion. Don't speak on my behalf," Shila firmly stated.
