Aeril Zafrel wins Celebrity Creator of The Year at TikTok Awards Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysian actor, model, and television host Aeril Zafrel, whose full name is Suhairil Sunari, won the title of Celebrity Creator Of The Year at the 2023 TikTok Awards Malaysia held at MITEC last night.
Aeril Zafrel, 34, defeated other contenders, including Dolla, Anna Jobling, Zizan Razak, Janna Nick, and Siti Nordiana.
"When social media started, I didn't expect to win, but it's been great for creativity," Aeril said.
"Like an influencer, I make TikToks, and unexpectedly, our sales doubled. It's all about staying active.
"I share memories with my family through videos, even though some comments make me uneasy," Aeril told the media.
However, he mentioned that for kids, it depends on parents to shield them from negativity, as he only shares happiness within limits.
His acting career has paused due to his business with 40 staff members, and he still receives offers, but he’ll decide what to do, Aeril continued.
"I haven't thought about retiring from being an actor.
"This world is my home, and my success comes from my past as an artist."
