Musk threatens to block X accounts if creator monetisation programme manipulated

MOSCOW - US billionaire and owner of X, formerly known as Twitter, Elon Musk, warned on Tuesday that manipulating the social media's creator monetisation programme would be punished with account suspension, reported Sputnik.

"Please note that any attempts to manipulate the creator compensation programme on this platform will result in account suspension," Musk said on X.

In April, X introduced the creator compensation feature, which allows users to profit from content they create via a paid subscription. Musk specified that users would be able to receive money for their texts, photos and videos published on the platform. - BERNAMA
