SHAH ALAM - Pas will never leave the principle of Islam that is al-din which objects a religious belief defined by secularism such that of DAP.

Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang said that it was the reason the party led by Lim Guan Eng had rejected Pas.

"This principle prescribes for Islam to have a sovereign position in a country led by Islam and not the concept of secularism that separates it from religion or 'Malaysian Malaysia' which plays the role of erasing the image of the nation.

"When DAP wanted to drag Pas out of its principle and wanted this party to submit to the principle of secularism which is the constitution and the concept of 'Malaysian Malaysia' as its direction, then there was a clash," he wrote on Facebook today.

He said the conflict had caused DAP or Pas to achieve no mutual political understanding because it clearly violated the principle of the party's fight.

The Marang Member of Parliament said that DAP had previously accepted the concept of a welfare state offered by the party in a narrow comprehension but allowed an understanding to be established.

"However, when the Shura Ulama Council issued a complete Islamic State Document to be used as a guide, DAP suddenly revealed its attitude against Islam.

"The party (DAP) showed an attitude towards the concept of a welfare state according to the scope of secularism that they adopted.

“At the same time, they openly opposed Islam by defending apostates, opposing the banning of alcohol and gambling," he said.
