Woman gang raped by five brother-in-law’s friends

KUALA LUMPUR - A woman went through nightmare after she was raped in her home in Wangsa Maju by five men believed to be the friends of her brother-in-law yesterday.
What was even worse was that the heinous crime which happened at 3.30am was recorded by the suspects.
Federal Sexual, Women and Children Crime Investigation Division (D11) principal assistant director Assistant Commissioner Siti Kamsiah Hassan said the 27-year-old victim who was sleeping had woken up after her mouth and hands were tied up by the culprits.
"The victim was raped in turns after being tied up by the suspects. They had then fled the scene after they raped the victim.
"Accordingly, efforts to track down the suspects are being actively carried out by the police," she told Sinar Harian today.
Commenting further, she said as a result of the incident, the victim suffered an injury on the lip.
She said a police report had been lodged by the victim at the Wangsa Maju police station.
The the case is being investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code.
