'Pas punishes, labels anyone as anti-Islam' - Puad Zarkashi
SHAH ALAM - Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Mohd Puad Zarkashi describes Pas as an ‘ugly kingmaker’ because it would abandon anyone and change its fatwa (creed) to suit its political actions.
He claimed that Pas has become arrogant as it was now the kingmaker to Bersatu and its president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
“According to Pas central election director Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s political expectancy could be extended if they cooperated with Pas.
“Yes, Pas is the kingmaker, but it is an ugly kingmaker. Pas can change its fatwa to suit their political action.
“Pas will punish and label anyone as anti-Islam to become the kingmaker,” he said in a Facebook post, today.
On Tuesday, Zahid said Umno had no intention of working together with parties or leaderships that were scheming.
Yesterday, Sanusi said all political movements in the country must involve Pas as the kingmaker for ummah unification.
The Kedah Menteri Besar said without Pas’ involvement in any political movement or coalition, the unification will not succeed.
