Monkeypox infections rise in Bangkok

BANGKOK - Bangkok is closely monitoring Monkeypox cases as the number of infections continues to rise.

Deputy Bangkok governor Tavida Kamolvej said there was an increase in Monkeypox cases within the Bangkok metropolitan in August, with approximately 80 reported cases, reported Thai News Agency (TNA).

The data indicated that these cases were primarily concentrated in areas popular among tourists.

In Bangkok, various networks and groups are actively addressing this issue, such as Swing Thailand and Rainbow Sky, to provide accurate information.

Additionally, in the event of any cases, authorities respond promptly by cleaning and ensuring clear communication to promote understanding.

The latest news has shown that the infected individuals are predominantly young, with many falling into the adolescent age group.
