Amar appointed as Kelantan assembly speaker

KOTA BHARU - Former Kelantan deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Amar Abdullah was appointed Speaker of the Kelantan State Legislative Assembly for the 15th term today.
The Panchor assemblyman took the oath as Speaker at the Kelantan State Assembly Member's Oath Swearing Ceremony in Kota Darul Naim here.
Meanwhile, Kok Lanas assemblyman, Datuk Mohamed Farid Mohamed Zawawi was appointed as Deputy Speaker.
In the meantime, Amar during his speech expressed his gratitude for the trust that has been given to shoulder the responsibility.
He also swore faithfully to fulfil his duty with all his efforts.
"I will be faithful, loyal to the state of Kelantan, I will protect and defend the state of Kelantan.
"I will also be faithful and loyal to the Sultan of Kelantan and his successors according to the law," he said while taking the oath of office as Speaker of Kelantan.
