SHAH ALAM - With just two days left, the Sinar Bestari Education Carnival in collaboration with the Selangor State Education Department (JPNS) will officially open the gate with various programmes throughout three days.

Project Director Meen Tahrin said all staff who are a part of the biggest carnival in Selangor are actively making final preparations to ensure the programme runs smoothy from Sept 8 to 10.

"We are organising and making thorough preparations. So far, everything are going well and almost 70 per cent of work is complete.

"All the programmes that will be held are ready and we are just waiting for visitors," he told Sinar Harian.

The Sinar Bestari Education Carnival is believed to be held simultaneously with SinarPlus Food Fest and Karangkraf Warehouse Sale, allowing visitors to entertain, learn and shop simultaneously.

"One of the wow factors of this carnival that may be different from other festivals is the combination of three different programmes at the same time.

"In addition to the digital exhibition at the Sinar Bestari Education Carnival for students, parents can also stroll around and buy books at a cheap price at the Karangkraf Warehouse Sale.

Meanwhile, visitors can unwind and buy various food and drinks at SinarPlus Food Fest.

"Therefore, this carnival is not only for students but is open to everyone" he said.

Regarding the exciting prizes that lucky visitors will win, Meen Tahrin explained, they have a chance to win prizes worth RM8,500 by just registering and coming to the carnival that will take place starting this Friday.

"Among the programmes that will be the focus of schools in this carnival is the Smartboard competition which is believed to be able to drive the education of the digital generation.

"The registered school with the largest number of pupils, teachers or parents will have the chance to win an Arvia Interactive Smartboard worth RM8,500," he said.
