'Best medium of exposure for students' - Police

SHAH ALAM - The journalist meet-and-greet session with the police at the Sinar Bestari Education Carnival at the Karangkraf Complex today is the best medium of exposure for students.
Selangor Land Operations, Crime Prevention, and Community Safety Department (JPJKK) Staff Officer, Superintendent Muhamad Sajidan Abdul Sukor found that the forum is very suitable and should be held periodically.
He said apart from police, it can also be expanded to other uniformed bodies such as the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), the Malaysian Immigration Department (JIM), and the Road Transport Department (RTD).
"This kind of forum can target more audiences, especially among students and young people, because it is broadcast live on Facebook and TikTok.
"I see that TikTok today has gained a lot of followers and should be used to its full potential to share about education, including criminal issues," he told Sinar Harian after a press conference today.
Sajidan added that he was also amazed by the huge and lively crowd at this carnival.
In the meet-and-greet session, he shared about his experiences and challenges as a police officer, besides exposing the crime of bullying among students.
Meanwhile, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Serdang student Muhammad Nor Hakim Shahril, 16, also shared his passion to become a police officer.
"Since I was a child, I have wanted to become a police officer because of the challenges and duty to maintain the security and peace of the country.
"This is my dream. Many things are taught in this uniformed body, including the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (JSJN), the forensic unit, and the tracking dog unit (K9)," he explained.
