Sabak Bernam religious department office catches fire
SABAK BERNAM - Sabak Bernam District Islamic Affairs Office Islamic Education Unit office here caught fire today.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Director Wan Md Razali Wan Ismail said the department received an emergency call at 7.59pm.
He said members and officers from the Sungai Besar and Sabak Bernam Fire and Rescue Station rushed to the scene.
"The fire involved a Class A office building measuring 20 x 30 square feet with 20 per cent of the living room area on fire," he said in a statement today.
However, Wan Md Razali said the firemen successfully controlled the fire within five minutes.
"The fire was brought under control at 8.12pm and no casualties were reported.
"We were informed that residents in nearby quarters noticed the incident," he said.
