PUTRAJAYA - From enemies to friends, we are together for the sake of Malaysians, says DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng.

He said Malaysians support the unity government because they want a multiracial government that takes care of all regardless of race and religion, which efficiently manages the economy, the cost of living and maintains political stability.

"If it was a year ago, this would have been unexpected. In order to uphold the order of Agong for a unity government to be established after the 15th general election (GE15) to take care of the people and the country, then we are together.

"From enemies to friends as long as the people can be happy," he said in his speech at the DAP party conference 2023 today.

Lim added Malaysian's support for the unity government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was proven in the six-state state elections and yesterday with a large majority in the two by-elections in Johor.

"Not only did we maintain a two-thirds parliamentary majority with a big victory in Pulai but also destroyed the confidence of PN to win the Simpang Jeram state assembly," he said

Lim also congratulated the party's secretary Anthony Loke, for winning 46 of the 47 state assembly seats that were contested in the recent state elections in Negeri Sembilan and also helping to win yesterday in Johor.

" DAP stands for Deliver As Promised!" he said

The DAP party conference 2023 is being held at the Putrajaya Marriott Hotel and is attended by Umno president Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi for the very first time.
