Corpse of man missing for 52 years found on Austrian glacier

The corpse was discovered by two hikers last week in the area of the Hochgruberkees at about 2,800 metres above sea level, according to the police.
The man's body was flown from the accident site near Fusch an der Großglocknerstraße to the valley.
The police assume that it was the body of a man who has been missing since 1971 and whose identity document was found with the body, according to German news agency (dpa).
The authorities are now searching for relatives in order to clearly establish the identity by means of DNA comparison.
It comes after other human remains were found in a different Austrian glacier earlier this summer.
In mid-August, ski-hikers discovered body parts on a Tyrolean glacier. At the beginning of September, a DNA analysis confirmed that they were the remains of a man who had disappeared in the Schlatenkees area in 2001 at the age of 37 - BERNAMA
