KUALA LUMPUR - The police will investigate if there is any violation of law in regard to the incident of a foreign woman acting rudely after her alleged money-begging syndicate around the capital was uncovered.

Kuala Lumpur Police chief Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid said that the police had received a report on the matter.

"The report has been referred to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNCHR) and the Social Welfare Department for further action.

“The police will check if there is any violation of law related to the incident," he said.

In a 22-second video that had gone viral since last Friday, the woman can be seen angry and making an offensive gesture to a man who recorded her act.

In the clip, the woman was reportedly begging for money with her partner who is also a foreign man as well as a child.

In the video, the person who recorded the couple could also be heard wanting to lodge a report about the incident to the authorities.
