'I want to sleep in peace' - Khairul Aming says on staying debt-free

SHAH ALAM - Influencer Khairul Aming says he prefers to choose a debt-free life by saving for his own comfort and to have strong financial security.
He said the savings at hand were better used to invest in his 'sambal' business, which has been running for the past six years.
He said the only bank loan he has was for his car, a Perodua Bezza.
"I really like to invest in businesses. The money from these businesses will be used for other businesses.
"I'm not fussy when it comes to businesses. For example, if the staff wants to use or buy anything, I will just get it, but if I want to buy something for myself, if I find something that I want to, if it's expensive, I'll put it back," he said on a viral TikTok post on Tuesday.
Khairul Aming, or his real name, Khairul Amin Kamarulzaman, said that buying an asset that gives a return on money, like a'sambal' machine, was better than buying a luxurious car or house.
"I want to sleep peacefully, that's all. I haven't had enough sleep for six years working hard for this thing (business), but to say to sleep in peace entirely is still not really because there are new responsibilities.
"I have to think about new things, which are taking care of business performance, income, and staff, because I'm the type who can't sit still.
"If the profit is low, I will do something to bring it back up. Make a video or anything," he said.
