Prime Minister heads to Parliament to table the 2024 Budget

PUTRAJAYA - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim left the Finance Ministry building here at 3.13pm, on his way to Parliament to table the much-awaited Malaysia Madani 2024 Budget.

The Finance Minister was clad in a light pink Baju Melayu and carried a black bag with an Arabesque motive made by a local batik entrepreneur from Kelantan, Khairul Aznan, containing the budget speech text.

Before departing, Anwar participated in a prayer led by the Finance Ministry's Islamic Affairs officer, Mohamad Zukrillah IIsmail at the Treasury's main lobby.

Also present was the Treasury chief secretary, Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican.

Anwar was accompanied by his wife, Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, and Deputy Finance Ministers, Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan and Steven Sim Chee Keong.
