Gaza - Gaza Health Ministry confirmed that four hospitals in the beseiged enclave were out of service due to direct targeting by the Israeli airstrikes, Jordan news agency (Petra) reported.

The four hospitals are Beit Hanoun, Al-Durra, Al-Karama, and the Al-Oyoun International Hospital.

"Hospitals suffer from a high bed occupancy rate of 150 per cent, and the injured and patients are sleeping on the floor and corridors.

"There is no stock of medicines, medical consumables, and fuel in hospitals,” it quoted the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry said that hospitals are lacking all medical and fuel capabilities, adding that any delay in bringing medical supplies into Gaza Strip hospitals will lead to the loss of more injured and patients.

It called on the international community and humanitarian groups to expedite the entry of emergency medical needs into hospitals in the Gaza Strip.

It also called on all relevant authorities to protect medical teams, hospitals, ambulances and places of refuge for citizens who were forced by the Israeli aggression to leave their homes, according to Petra.
