IPOH - Muslims and Islamic country leaders must unite in support of the efforts to defend the Palestinians.

The call was made through Friday sermon across mosques in Perak which had urged Muslims all over the world to come in union and reject the tyrannical crimes of the Zionist.

Malaysia had been one of the countries that had always supported the freedom and independence of Palestine.

"Al-Aqsa Mosque is the third noblest mosque on the earth of Allah. Therefore, defending and saving Al-Aqsa Mosque is a religious responsibility.

"The Ummah both rich and poor should sacrifice to help the people of Palestine by donating through registered and trusted humanitarian mission organisations," said the imam who delivered the sermon today.

Notably, the preacher also pointed out that humanitarian aid was part of the fard kifayah (Muslim collective obligation) practices that were highly encouraged.

He said that there were various both government and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) established to channel humanitarian aids and services such as providing children's necessities, daily needs, building repair, medication, clothes, food and water.

In addition to that, the speaker also called on Muslims to delve into and understand the tragedy that had been taking place in Palestine.
