SHAH ALAM - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is set to deliver a special address at the 'Himpunan 1,000,000 Malaysia Bersama Palestin' scheduled to take place at the Axiata Arena Stadium in Bukit Jalil tomorrow.

Muslim Regional Chairman who also serves as the programme secretariat, Mohd Hakim Mohd Nor said that the event is being organised by a coalition of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from across Malaysia to demonstrate the nation's solidarity with the Palestinian people.

"The gathering has three primary objectives: to advocate for an end to the conflict in Palestine, to halt the killing of children, women, and disabled individuals in Palestine, and to unite the voices of Muslims worldwide.

"The programme is scheduled to commence at 6.30pm with congregational Maghrib prayers.

"It will then feature speeches by NGO representatives before concluding with a special address by the Prime Minister," he said in a statement today.

The event, themed in white, is expected to draw over 20,000 attendees.

Meanwhile, Global Peace Mission Chairman Ahmad Fahmi Samsudin and concurrent programme secretariat announced that the gathering will be followed by a tour session involving 1,000,000 defenders of Palestine.

This tour will commence at Hang Jebat Stadium in Melaka on Oct 29.
