'Himpunan 1,000,000 Malaysia Bersama Palestin' begins with Magrib prayers
KUALA LUMPUR - The "Himpunan 1,000,000 Malaysia Bersama Palestin" gathering commenced with the congregational Magrib prayers.
Over a thousand participants gathered at Axiata Arena here for the solidarity event.
Organised by a coalition of Non-governmental Organisations from across Malaysia, the event aims to showcase the nation's support for the Palestinian people.
The gathering focuses on three primary goals: advocating for an end to the conflict in Palestine, stopping the violence against children, women, and the disabled in Palestine, and uniting Muslim voices globally.
With an expected turnout of over 20,000 participants dressed in white, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, among other notable leaders, is scheduled to address the attendees.
