SHAH ALAM - Communication and internet services in the Gaza Strip which were reported to be completely cut off have been restored today.

The news was shared by Cinta Gaza Malaysia chief executive officer Muhammad Nadir Al-Nuri Kamaruzaman on Facebook.

"Alhamdulillah, the internet in Gaza is gradually recovering at the moment," he wrote.

On Friday, the Palestinian Telecommunications Company reportedly said that services were paralysed following heavy Israeli bombardment of lines, towers and networks.

International media also reported that Israel had intensified its attacks on the Gaza Strip after internet and mobile communication services in the Palestinian Territories were disabled.

The sound of bomb explosions and the bright light of airstrikes as well as artillery lit up the Gaza sky throughout the night.
