SHAH ALAM – Father of Nurul Ain Haron, the Malaysian who is in Gaza hopes that the opening of the border gate between Gaza and Egypt n Rafah on Wednesday will let his daughter leaves Palestine safely.

Haron Hamim, 65, said that it was an opportunity for his daughter Ain, 37 and son-in-law Mohamed Adan Shaat, 33 to bring themselves out to a safe place.

"As a father, I am definitely looking forward to the return of my daughter and son-in-law. I believe in them. God willing, Allah SWT shall help.

"I just found out about this (Rafah gate opening). We leave it to the government to take the next action because we believe that they are trying to get them out of there (Palestine).

"I don't know what had been planned. God willing, the government is doing its best and carrying out its responsibilities as it should. I hope with this information, my child gets to leave soon," he told Sinar yesterday.

The media on Wednesday reported that Rafah border gate had been opened for the first time for people to move out of Palestine since it was closed on Oct 7 after an operations by Hamas on Israel.

Haron shared that her daughter and son-in-law live in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and returned to her husband's hometown in Palestine on Oct 1 for the first time after almost six years of marriage.

He added that Ain and Adan were ready to leave the territory.

"Yesterday evening (Wednesday) when I called, she did not dare to say anything, but they are stand by (to leave). We pray that Allah SWT to decide the best," he wished.
