Four siblings including 10-month-old baby abandoned at guardhouse

IPOH - The Perak Tengah police are seeking information on four siblings, including a 10-month-old baby, who are believed to have been abandoned in front of the guardhouse at the Perak Tengah District Council (MDPT) administrative complex here yesterday.
Perak Tengah district police chief Superintendent Hafezul Helmi Hamzah said they received information about the incident from the district’s Social Welfare Department (JKM) officer at around 5.39 pm.
"Two boys, 11 and three, a 10-month-old baby boy, and a 6-year-old girl were found abandoned.
"Upon questioning, the 11-year-old boy alleged that they were kicked out of a house near Bota and driven to the complex in a Toyota car by an unidentified woman who left them at the location around 10.50 am, with a plastic bag containing milk and disposable diapers," he said in a statement here today.
The siblings have been sent to the Gopeng shelter for safety and investigation purposes, he said, adding that the police are still conducting further investigations to locate the childrens’ parents or guardians.
"Individuals with relevant information are encouraged to contact Investigating Officer Inspector Mohd Hanif Dzulkifli at 012-6477452," he added. - BERNAMA
