Police arrest two suspects after high-speed chase
PETALING JAYA - A couple was arrested, while two other men managed to escape after a police patrol unit pursued a Perodua Bezza from Petaling Jaya to Cyberjaya yesterday.
The high-speed chase, which gained attention on social media, depicted nine police patrol cars pursuing the suspected vehicle.
It was reported that the Perodua Bezza, carrying four individuals, attracted suspicion from police patrolmen due to their unusual behavior.
When the officers attempted to apprehend them, the suspects fled in the vehicle.
Two men then jumped out of the car and fled the scene, while a man and a woman were subsequently detained.
Investigators also discovered various burglary tools and weapons inside the vehicle.
Petaling Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid confirmed the incident.
"We will issue a media statement regarding this case," he said.
