JEMPOL - The recent expulsion of Umno Supreme Council (MKT) member Isham Jalil from Umno has been met with approval from within the party, with Jeram Padang assemblyman Datuk Mohd Zaidy Abdul Kadir calling the action "appropriate and justified."

In a statement released today, Zaidy stated that the expulsion aligned with Umno's commitment to prioritise the party's interests over any individual.

"This action also illustrates that Umno does not compromise with any individual attempting to divide the party, thereby disrupting the harmony among members.

"It is a decision seemingly anticipated by Isham himself, who appears to intentionally want to be expelled from the party by expressing public opinions that do not align with Umno's recent aspirations," he said.

It was reported that Umno's MKT expelled Isham and the decision was announced by a member of MKT who attended the meeting at Menara Dato' Onn.

Zaidy said Umno's action also served as a lesson to party members to always adhere to party discipline, regardless of whether someone held a leadership status or was just an ordinary member.

"As a party leader at the grassroots level, I express my appreciation and thanks to the party leadership at the central level, especially Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi for fulfilling the party discipline mandate by expelling Isham, who had his own agenda.

"To those within the party, remain loyal to the sacred aspirations of the party.
