Petaling Street ranks sixth coolest streets in the world

SHAH ALAM - Malaysians couldn't be more prouder than knowing their most famous street in the country has made it to the top list of 'Coolest Streets in the World'.

According to Time Out, the ranking highlighted must-visit streets, avenues, plazas and boulevards in the cities globally.

The ranking process also involved publication’s group of editors and writers nominating the best streets in the cities, factoring in food, drink, fun, art, culture, nightlife and community vibes within them.

"Petaling Street may be one of the city’s oldest streets, but it is experiencing a renaissance, with the juxtaposition of Kuala Lumpur’s oldest temples rubbing shoulders with the newest drinking and dining spots.

Faced with strong competition from renowned streets in major cities worldwide, including the likes of Tokyo, New York and London, Petaling Street stood out with its unparalleled blend of tradition and modernity.
