KUALA LUMPUR – Police have confirmed receiving a report from the family of a 17-year-old boy allegedly involved in a relationship with his teacher.

Federal Police Sexual, Women and Child Investigations Division (D11) principal assistant director Assistant Commissioner Siti Kamsiah Hassan said the police report was lodged in December last year, and investigations are ongoing.

"We have called all parties involved to provide statements, including the teenager and the teacher.

"We are finalising the investigation papers, which will soon be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor's Office," she said when contacted yesterday.

Sepang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof noted that the investigation is being conducted under Section 14 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

"The investigation is still ongoing, and the investigation papers were forwarded to Bukit Aman, with instructions to proceed with the investigation," he added.

Earlier, an individual claiming to be the victim's sister took to social media to express her concerns about the case.

In her statement on the X application, she mentioned that their mother had lodged a police report and also filed a separate report with the district education office.
