SHAH ALAM - Former Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin criticised Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who acted as if he did not know the 16th Addendum Order of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (YDPA) regarding house arrest involving former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

He said Anwar should not have issued a statement that the matter was not a problem that needed to be solved by him.

"How can you (Anwar) say this is not your problem? Five of your ministers are involved in this matter.

"The three respondents are the Federal Territories Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa; Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Law and Institutional Reform Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.

"Your two other ministers Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz went to take pictures of the decree and the fifth person who took Zafrul’s pictures (Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi), how can you say you (the government) are not involved? " he said.

He said this through the Keluar Sekejap Podcast Program episode 97 with former deputy Umno Youth chief Shahril Sufian Hamdan on Monday.

Previously, it was reported that Anwar insisted that the government would not question the decisions made by the YDPA and the Malay Rulers on any issue, including Najib's application related to house arrest.

Anwar, who was also the Finance Minister said that the discussion on the matter involved two parties, namely the Federal Territories Pardon Board and the YDPA.

Commenting further, Khairy claimed that the government attempted to ignore the Addendum in the hope that it would 'disappear' without being noticed and raised by any party.

"He did not think that Zahid would suddenly make this affidavit. Zahid is good at 'eating all over’.

"In certain cases, he has 'eaten' Anwar... because he has become the Deputy Prime Minister," he said.

Khairy claimed that Zahid acted in such a way because he was afraid that Najib's supporters knew about the Addendum Order and demanded when it would be done.

He claimed that the Bagan Datuk Member of Parliament's actions indirectly confirmed that there was an additional order and that would make Najib happy about his actions.
