Sports Matters: Malaysian football rocked by player attacks - What you need to know

Malaysia’s football league season was set to start with the Charity Shield match, but after three players were targeted - one hospitalised by an acid attack, another injured in a violent robbery, and a third traumatised by a hammer attack - one team has withdrawn, citing criminal threats.
