Empowering youth: 16th Asia Youth International Model United Nations gathers 1,000 global youth delegates
The event serves as a platform to empower the younger generation by utilising their soft skills that will be crucial for their future careers and academic pursuits.

SHAH ALAM – International Global Network founder and president Muhammad Fahrizal continues to empower the next generation of leaders through international diplomacy with the launch of the 16th Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN).
The highly anticipated event which kicked off on Jan 17 and will continue until Jan 20 at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, has welcomed 1000 youth delegates from 38 countries and features six distinguished ambassadors as keynote speakers.
The ambassadors are Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Yemen to Malaysia and Dean of Arab Council Kuala Lumpur Dr Adel Mohamed Ali BA Hamid, Ambassador of Spain to Malaysia & Brunei Darussalam José Luis Pardo Cuerdo, Ambassador of Belgium to Malaysia Peter Van Acker, High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana to Malaysia Florence Buerki Akonor , Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Malaysia Radamés Gómez Azuaje and Ambassador of Finland to Malaysia Anne Vasara.

AYIMUN has also garnered support from two Malaysian government entities: the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) under the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry and the Department of Higher Education under the Higher Education Ministry.
The event, registered with the Pusat Prestasi Nasional under the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, serves as a platform to empower the younger generation by utilising their soft skills that will be crucial for their future careers and academic pursuits.

Fahrizal is considered a pivotal force behind the activism of the International Global Network and has employed a leadership model that harnesses the potential of young individuals within the organisation's ecosystem, resulting in innovative youth development programmes such as the Asia World Model United Nations, Youth Excursion and AYIMUN.
He began his journey in 2016 when he founded the organisation and started from scratch with limited financial resources. Driven by determination and relentless effort, Fahrizal and his small team successfully launched various youth development programmes, further earning the International Global Network international recognition, paving the way for collaborative efforts and amplifying its positive impact.
AYIMUN 16th is the first programme held by the organisation this year, aiming to leverage young people's knowledge about multilateral issues, which Fahrizal believes are solutions to various global challenges today.
He is confident that collaboration and dialogue among the younger generation can create a much better future.
